Chapter 2 - Where to Start ? Judy spent much of the 1990's on the South Coast and much of that time was spent motoring. She received rudimentary care and appeared to survive quite well. However all was not as well as it might have been. Twenty five years from on those early days on the Medway and Judy was in need of some tender care. She had arrived in Bedfordshire from Sussex in the summer of 2000 and travelled to Bedford Priory Marina She had one tentative trip out on the Great Ouse, motoring from Bedford to Great Barford and back. Although the trip went well there were one or two signs that she might benefit from some attention - a small amount of water finding its way into the cabin floor and cracking around the strengthened section of stern for the outboard bracket. Clearly some investigation was necessary and the steel keel had to come out.
September 2001 - Judy at Bedford Priory Marina, Crane man and Matthew She was up on their crane, which appeared to have sufficient capacity, and the keel was lifted off its pin and dropped down in a matter of minutes.
